Anon is right. Addictions can be so strong that nothing else is of any importance. It's to late for her but few people are ever forced to take a drink or smoke a crack pipe.
People think they're stronger than the drugs. Despite the odds they ingest them anyway. She made the decision to do the crack, for whatever reason(s). Her actions have consequences.
Any sin has two results. It seperates man from God and it creates evil effects in this world. Sadly the evil effects aren't always on the one who did the sin. In this case it affects the child as much as the mother.

Wow! What a terrible mother! I'm glad that the little girl is safe now. So many things could have happened to her. What if she would have knocked on the door of a person who was a pedophile or worse.
