Teresa Badger - Charged With Bringing Pot-Laced Food To After School Potluck Dinner

Benicia, Ca. (The Weekly Vice) - Teresa Badger, a 47-year-old teacher at Matthew Turner Elementary School, was jailed Friday after she allegedly served marijuana-laced food to her fellow employees at an after-school pot luck dinner.

According to Benica Police, Matthew Turner Elementary School employees complained of feeling sick and under the influence of a controlled substance after they attended an after-school pot luck dinner Nov. 21 that had been hosted at a fellow employee's residence.

One of the employees took some of the food home which was consumed by a juvenile who also became sick. Later that evening, a woman who attended the dinner was taken to a hospital and another attendee visited a hospital the next day.

The incident was reported to Benicia police who investigated the matter for six weeks. At the conclusion of the investigation it was revealed that Badger allegedly laced food items with THC, the active chemical in marijuana.

Badger also allegedly told people at the party about the marijuana laced food, however she reportedly denied those claims during a police interview.

She was booked into the Solano County Jail and charged with three felony counts of food poisoning. her bail has been set at $15,000.

Investigators have not revealed what food items were poisoned by the teacher, but stated that they were NOT brownies.
