Sauk Village, Illinois (The Weekly Vice) -Robin Erwin, a 31-year-old south Chicago woman, was jailed Saturday after she allegedly stabbed her teen son to death during an argument over ice cream.
According to police, Erwin and her son were arguing about ice cream that morning when Erwin stabbed her son directly in the heart.
The victim, 17-year-old Diontae Erwin, was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:41 p.m..
Dionte Erwin's death has been ruled a homicide shortly after medical examiners concluded that Erwin died of a fatal stab wound to the heart.
After the alleged stabbing, Robin Erwin reportedly called 911 and told them that her son walked into her knife. Officers took her into custody when they arrived on the scene.
She was booked into jail and charged with first-degree murder. She remains held in lieu of $750,000.
As police processed the scene, they came into contact with 21-year-old Larry Gray who has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and violating parole.
