According to police, Anderson and Jones reportedly stole a 1994 Ford Thunderbird around 7:00 a.m., then almost immediately sought out a group of six joggers and intentionally ran them down with the vehicle. Three joggers suffered minor bumps and bruises, one of them requiring hospital treatment, but miraculously none of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries.
After the two men were arrested, detectives found a cell phone belonging to one of the suspects which contained a video.
In the video, the suspects joked about how fun the assault was, comparing it to the video game 'Grand Theft Auto.'
Anderson, who was driving the vehicle, was booked into jail and charged with first-degree assault, tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and leaving the scene of an accident. His bond was set at $75,000.
Jones was booked into jail and charged with second-degree tampering and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $15,000, cash only.
