Jillian Martone - Charged With Assaulting Man After First Date Because He Wasn't Ready To Be Her Boyfriend

Boca Raton, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Jillian Leigh Martone, a 35-year-old Delray Beach woman was jailed Wednesday after she allegedly punched a man in the face, threatened him with a knife and smashed his window because he wasn't ready to be her boyfriend after their first date.

According to Boca Raton police, officers were dispatched to the victim's apartment after receiving a domestic disturbance report.

Arriving officers found Martone crying outside the victim's apartment. She was reportedly sitting next to a cluster of large rocks which were used to smash the victim's window.

The victim, identified as 39-year-old Efren Molina, told police that he met Martone for the first time last week and the two agreed to go out on a date together.

Molina stated that he picked Martone up at her apartment, went out for dinner and drinks and then returned to his apartment.  At some point in the evening, Martone reportedly referred to herself as Molina's girlfriend.  When Molina told Martone that he didn't necessarily agree with that title, Martone allegedly became enraged.

In retaliation, Martone allegedly punched Molina in the face, ran to the kitchen to grab a knife and attempted to stab him with it.

When Molina shouted for help, his roommate entered the living room and wrestled the knife away from Martone.  Molina and the roommate then ejected Martone from the apartment. That's when Martone allegedly grabbed a large rock and smashed the victim's window.

When officers arrived, Molina was bleeding from his hand and a rock was laying inside of his apartment, next to the broken window.

Martone then became combative as officers took her into custody.

She was booked into jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (without intent to kill), battery, criminal mischief, unarmed burglary of an occupied structure, and battery on an officer, firefighter, emt, etc. Her bond was set at $9,000.

According to court records, this was not her first arrest. in March 2011, she was jailed on charges of driving while intoxicated and possession of a harmful drug without a prescription. She had also been arrested for drunken disorderly conduct and disturbance of the peace.
