Port Saint Lucie, FL (The Weekly Vice) - Amie Neely, a 38-year-old Florida area teacher was jailed Sunday after she was allegedly caught by her husband having sex with a foreign exchange student.
According to police, an investigation was launched Saturday when a 16-year-old foreign exchange student from the Bahamas walked to a friend's home and informed them that he had been kicked out of the Neely's home after Amie Neely's husband caught the pair having sex.
Investigators say a sexual relationship developed between Neely and the exchange student after he moved in with with her and her husband a few months ago.
The student told detectives that Neely was his teacher at a community church school in Martin County, however the specific school was not identified in the arrest report.
The alleged sexual relationship was discovered Saturday when the pair drove to a secluded area by St. Lucie West Centennial High School and jumped into the back seat of the Neely's SUV to have sex.
Neely's husband, according to the arrest report, used the GPS capability of Amie Neely's phone to track the pair down.
The teen told detectives that the relationship began when he and Neely began exchanging sexually charged text messages. The first sexual encounter occurred when the teen walked into Neely's bedroom after Matthew Neely went to work.
A short time later, according to the teen, the pair had sex again in her bedroom.
During a police interview, Neely reportedly stated that the boy "kept asking for sex" and she thought by having sex with him he would stop asking. She also described the affair as "a possible mid-life crisis."
Neely has denied having any sexual encounters with the teen besides the incident in which the pair were discovered in the school parking lot.
Neely was booked into the St. Lucie County Jail and charged with unlawful sex with a minor. She was released after posting $15,000 bail.
