St. Petersburg, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Joseph Pineda, a 33-year-old Pinellas Park man was jailed Friday after he allegedly impersonated an officer in attempt to get free food at McDonald's.
According to police, Pineda entered a McDonald's drive-thru and ordered a meal Friday evening. After the employee rank up the order and told Pineda the total amount, Pineda claimed that he was a police officer and therefor was entitled to a free meal.
When Pineda drove up to the window, he showed the employee his badge and a gun. Employees called 911.
Investigators say when officers arrived on the scene, Pineda refused to show his hands until he was ordered to comply at gunpoint. When officers searched his vehicle, they found two police badges and a .45 caliber gun.
Pineda was booked into jail and charged with impersonating an officer and improper exhibition of a firearm.
