Sandy, Utah (The Weekly Vice) - Steven Powell, a 57-year-old Utah man was jailed Thursday after he allegedly exposed himself to a 7-year-old girl before fleeing the scene in a wheelchair.
According to Sandy police, officers were dispatched to a Sandy area Wal-Mart late last month after an unknown man in a wheelchair exposed himself to a 7-year-old girl.
Apparently the alleged flasher made a quick getaway, forcing investigators to solicit the public's assistance in identifying the man. Police received several leads after local media aired a description of the suspect and one of those leads were successful in identifying Powell as the alleged culprit.
Powell was booked into jail and charged with lewdness by a registered sex offender involving a child. Bail has not yet been set in the case.
