St. Louis, Missouri (The Weekly Vice) - John Cunningham, a 43-year-old Jennings man was jailed Monday after he allegedly shot and killed his uncle over an argument about pork chops.
According to the St. Louis Police Department, Cunningham and his uncle, 44-year-old Lessie E. Lowe, were cooking when they reportedly got into a heated argument over whether the cuts of meat they were preparing were pork chops or pork steaks.
When the argument turned physical, a friend stepped in to separate the two quarreling men. That's when Cunningham grabbed a gun and shot Lowe in retaliation.
Lowe was rushed to Barnes-Jewish Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Family members described the two men as best friends who hung around each other frequently.
Cunningham was booked into jail and charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
