Modesto, Calif. (The Weekly Vice) - Ryan Nunes, a 36-year-old California man was jailed Wednesday after he alleged arrived to court drunk while facing a charge of public intoxication.
According to police, Nunes was stopped at a courthouse security checkpoint Wednesday when deputies noticed that he was so intoxicated he could barely stand.
Nunes allegedly argued with deputies, explaining that he was scheduled to appear in court. Deputies, however, told him to leave the courthouse and reschedule his hearing.
Instead of heading deputies' advice, Nunes sat on the courthouse steps insisting that he was waiting to see a judge. After being asked several times to leave, deputies finally arrested him on a new charge of public intoxication.
Nunes now faces two counts of public intoxication and failing to appear.
