Trenton, N.J. (The Weekly Vice) - An unidentified 10-year-old girl shook up a Trenton neighborhood after she allegedly set a couch on fire because she was angry with her mother.
According to police, emergency crews were dispatched to a Spring Street residence Sunday afternoon after receiving reports that a home was on fire.
Trenton firefighters who arrived on the scene discovered a burning couch inside the residence and removed it. Two infants that were located on the second floor were treated by paramedics for possible smoke inhalation, but no other injuries were reported.
An investigation revealed the cause of the fire to be a 10-year-old girl who reportedly confessed to starting the fire because she was angry with her mother.
Fire officials plan to forward the girl's information to the state's firestarters program
