Lora And Aubrey Thomas Adopted 6 Punching Bags

Sperry, OK (The Weekly Vice) - Lora Thomas, 47, and her husband Aubrey Thomas, 58, have been jailed after they allegedly beat, tortured and sexually abused their adoptive children.

According to police, Lora and Aubrey Thomas abused their adoptive children physically and sexually, even after two of their children were removed from their home due to alleged abuse.

The abuse reportedly began shortly after the couple adopted six children while residing in Roger's County, Oklahoma.

In 2003, two of the children were removed from the home after investigators found evidence that the children had been abused. The couple was allowed to keep the other four children - two boys and two girls - who were 13 to 15-years old at the time.

The couple then moved to the outskirts of Sperry, Oklahoma in 2006.

The Osage County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation in October, 2011, after one of the girls began to describe the abusive home to a mental facility counselor.

When detectives and CPS investigators began to interview the children, a story of extreme physical and sexual abuse emerged.

Investigators say children were not allowed to wet the bed, and any child found doing so was forced to place the soiled underwear in their mouths while the rest of the family ridiculed them.

One of the girls told detectives that she was awakened in the middle of the night and then slapped repeatedly until blood flowed from her nose and lips.

On at least one occasion the children were forced to throw up and then eat their own vomit. The children were also regularly beaten with a paddle that the couple had named "Mr. Wonderful."

The girls reportedly told investigators that they were forced to eat gum off of Aubrey Thomas' penis, forced to perform oral sex on their siblings for food, and was forced to eat horse manure for not cleaning a horse pen.

When the children had injuries, investigators say they were forced to soak in a bath tub filled with ice cubes until the swelling was reduced.

"It's probably one of the worst cases that I know of that's happened around her in a long time," said Lou Brown of the Osage County Sheriff's Office.

Lora Thomas was booked into the Osage County Jail on a charge of felony child abuse, while Aubrey Thomas was charged with felony enabling child abuse.

Aubrey Thomas was released from jail after posting a $50,000 bond.

The case is considered "ongoing" and child sex abuse charges may be forthcoming.
