Corpus Christi, TX (The Weekly Vice) - Taylor Burnham, an 18-year-old Texas woman was jailed Sunday after she allegedly led police on a slow speed chase, wearing nothing more than a pair of cowboy boots.
According to Corpus Christi Police, officers were dispatched at around 3 a.m. after receiving a complaint of a suspicious person.
Arriving officers spotted Burnham, who was standing in an ally next to a Jeep Wrangler wearing nothing more than a pair of cowboy boots.
When Burnham noticed patrol cars in the area, she reportedly jumped into the jeep and tried to flee the scene. Officers attempted to pull Burnham over, however she led officers on a slow speed chase through a nearby neighborhood. She eventually stopped her vehicle after veering onto a sidewalk.
Investigators say Burnham appeared intoxicated, so she was asked to perform a field sobriety test and submit to a breathalyzer test. A female officer arrived a short time after the stop to assist Burnham in getting herself dressed.
Burnham was booked into the Nueces County Jail and charged with felony evading arrest and DUI. She was released after posting a $3,500 bond.
