Larry Thompson - Charged With Attempting To Kill Baby Daughter During Argument Over Baby Bottle

Huntington, W.V. (The Weekly Vice) - Larry Thomas, a 40-year-old
West Virginia man was jailed Monday after he allegedly tried to suffocate his baby daughter with a pillow after arguing with his girlfriend over whose turn it was to feed the baby.

According to Huntington Police, Thomas became angry after arguing with his 11-month-old daughter's mother over whose turn it was to make the baby bottle.

When the mother went downstairs to take care of the child, she noticed that the baby had become unusually quiet. That's when she found Mr. Thomas in the room, holding a pillow over the baby's face. The baby was wiggling around in attempt to free herself from under the pillow.

Investigators say the child's mother immediately stopped Thomas from suffocating the child. Thomas allegedly retaliated by knocking her to the floor with a closed fist.

Arriving officers found Thomas in the backyard of the couple's home carrying a knife under his shirt. He was apprehended and taken to jail.

The child was treated at the scene and did not require further medical attention. Child Protective Services was contacted to ensure the safety of the child.

Thomas was booked into jail and charged with first-degree felony attempted murder, misdemeanor domestic battery, and carrying a concealed weapon without a license. He also had an outstanding warrant from Bond County Kentucky regarding dangerous weapons charge from October 6th, 2011. He was given a $510,000 bond for the recent charges, but is jailed without bond pending extradition for the warrant.
