Joshua Middleton, Samantha Woolf - Charged After Toddler Son Found Inside Mobile Meth Lab

Cleveland, Ohio (The Weekly Vice) - Joshua Middleton, 28, and Samantha Woolf, 21, were jailed Monday after they allegedly manufactured methamphetamine in a vehicle while their 16-month-old child was in the back seat.

According to Cleveland Police, officers stopped Middleton's 2000 Chevy Blazer around 3:30 p.m and discovered a strong chemical odor coming from inside the vehicle.

Officers searched the vehicle and discovered several meth-making chemicals withing close proximity to the couple's son. A leaking bottle of muriatic acid was found just a few feet away from the toddler.

Investigators say several vials containing amphetamine was found in Woolf's purse. Police believe that Middleton had stashed them there before he was pulled over. Child protective services was contacted. The child is now in the care of a family member.

Middleton and Woolf were booked into the Stark County Jail and charged with Endangering the welfare of a child. Woolf was additionally charged with felony possession of drugs. She is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.

Middleton faces several other felony charges, including manufacturing of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $100,000. The couple is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday.
