York, Pennsylvania (The Weekly Vice) - Tyechia Lorraine Rembert, a33-year-old York woman was jailed Wednesday after she allegedly robbed a Burger King, then called the store later that night to see if anyone got her license tag number.
According to the York County Sheriff's Office, Rembert went to the Manchester Township Burger King drive-thru on November 11th around 8:00 a.m. and ordered breakfast.
When she pulled up to the window, she claimed that she had a gun and demanded money from the employees. She appeared to have something hidden inside her sleeve, so staff complied and gave her an undisclosed amount of cash.
Rembert then fled the scene in a red sport utility vehicle.
Investigators say a short time after the robbery, Rembert called the restaurant and asked employees if anyone had seen her license plate number.
Officers traced the phone call to Rembert's residence, where a red 1998 Ford Explorer matching the description of the getaway car was sitting in the driveway.
Rembert, who was home at the time was taken into custody without incident.
During questioning, Rembert allegedly admitting to committing the robbery, and said that she needed the money to pay some bills. Officers also discovered that the object Rembert concealed during the robbery was a crowbar.
Rembert was booked into jail and charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, simple assault, reckless endangerment and terroristic threats. She was released on her own recognizance.
