Indianapolis, IN (The Weekly Vice) - Aaron Randolph, a 23-year-old Indiana man was jailed Monday after he allegedly used a hot glue gun to rob a local bank.
According to police, Randolph entered a PNC bank in Indianapolis and demanded cash while brandishing what appeared to be a gun. Randolph also flashed an item that had been taped to his leg, stating that it was a bomb.
Investigators say Randolph fled the scene after he was handed an undisclosed amount of money. Detectives used surveillance video captured at the bank to identify Randolph.
Officers first found a stolen car that Randolph had used as a getaway vehicle. Randolph was then found a short time later hiding in a garage less than a mile from the bank.
Police recovered the gun Randolph used - which in fact was a hot glue gun that had been wrapped with electrical tape. The stolen money was also recovered.
Randolph was booked into the Marion County Jail on suspicion of robbery. Formal charges have still yet to be filed in the case.
