Endicott, New York (The Weekly Vice) - Kelly Simpson, a 48-year-old Endicott man was charged after he reportedly stopped to pet a drug-sniffing police dog while he had marijuana in his pocket.
According to Endicott police, Simpson was out for a walk Wednesday when he allegedly stopped to pet a police dog named Tarah, who was with an officer patrolling the area.
Investigators say Tarah detected that Kelly had marijuana in his pocket, and alerted the police officer. While searching the man, the officer found 25 grams of marijuana in his possession.
Simpson was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. He was cited and then released pending a court appearance.
