Jackson, Miss (The Weekly Vice) - Judy Weible, a 61-year-old Mississippi woman was jailed after she repeatedly called a deputy by mistake, offering to sell him painkillers.
According to the Hinds County Sheriff's Office, Weible dialed a wrong number Tuesday and offered to sell a deputy prescription pain medication.
The deputy thought the call had to be a joke, so he ignored it, according to Sheriff's Office spokesman, Lt. Jeff Scott.
Unsatisfied that her call wasn't returned, Wieble allegedly called and text-messaged the deputy multiple times about purchasing drugs. Her persistence finally paid off when the deputy answered the phone and made arrangements to meet her.
When Weible arrived for the transaction, deputies arrested her with 30 hydrocodone pills, said Lt. Scott.
"It certainly does make it easier to catch them when they call in on themselves," said Scott.
Weible was booked into the Hinds County Detention Center and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
