Donn Adams - DUI Suspect - Told Cops "I Only Drank Two Pizzas For Lunch"

Louisville, Kentucky (The Weekly Vice) - Donn Adams, a 68-year-old Louisville man was jailed Saturday after he allegedly crashed his car while driving drunk, then told officers that he only had two "pizzas" to drink.

According to Louisville police, officers were called to the scene of a one-car accident around 10:00 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle in a ditch and an off-duty officer talking to the driver of the crashed vehicle.

Investigators say the driver, identified as Adams, was disoriented and appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. When detectives asked if he was intoxicated, he stated that he only drank two "pizzas" around lunch and was taking Suboxone for an opiate addiction.

Two syringes filled with what appeared to be heroin was laying in plain sight in the suspect's vehicle, but he refused to give officers permission to search his car. He claimed that his friend had left the heroin in his vehicle.

Adams was booked into jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
