April Wade - Teacher - Charged With Having Year-Long Sexual Relationship With Student, Living With Student

Memphis, Tenn (The Weekly Vice) - April Wade, a 34-year-old teacher at Sheffield High School in Tennessee was jailed Friday after she allegedly had a year-long sexual relationship with a student.

According to police, Wade not only had a sexual relationship with a student that went on for a year. The student also reportedly lived with Wade during most of that time.

Investigators say that a 17-year-old student admitted to living with his Spanish teacher and that the two were engaged in a sexual relationship for more than a year.

The arrest comes on the heals of another alleged sex scandal involving the school's principal that broke earlier this year. In that case, Sheffield High School principal, Russell Heaston, was removed from his post after a sex video that allegedly involved Heaston went viral on the Internet. Heaston has not been charged in that case.

Wade was booked into jail and charged with statutory rape. She was released after posting a $5,000 bond. She is due to appear again in court on October 24.
