Richard Lee - Jailed After Nearly Running Over Man On Bar Stool. Stool Found Embedded In Vehicle's Grill

Louisville, Kentucky (The Weekly Vice) - Richard T. Lee, a 20-year-old Louisville man was jailed Monday after he nearly struck a man sitting on a bar stool while driving drunk. The bar stool was later found embedded in grill of Lee's car.

According to Louisville police, Lee was driving on Red Roof Inn Pl. near Bishop Lane when he reportedly ran off the road and crashed his blue Chevy S-10 into a building.

A man that was sitting on a bar stool outside of the building jumped off the stool and narrowly escaped being hit by Lee, who exited the smashed vehicle and fled the scene.

Investigators say officers located Lee shortly after the incident. The bar stool that the man had been sitting on just seconds before the crash was found embedded in the grill of Lee's vehicle.

Police say that Lee's license was expired, he had no proof of insurance, and he smelled strongly of alcohol.
He failed several field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.236 percent. The legal limit for driving in Kentucky is 0.08 percent.

Lee admitted that the arrest resulted in his fourth DUI. He was currently out on bail for a DUI charge out of Bullitt County, according to reports.

Lee was booked into jail and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to maintain insurance, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license, no registration and violating conditions of release.
