
Hurlburt Field, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Otis Belicario Keene, a 34-year-old Shalimar man was jailed after he allegedly stole a watch from his employer, then was seen wearing it to work the next day.
According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Keene, an Army Base Exchange stocker, was placed under surveillance on August 27th after a loss prevention officer reportedly saw him discarding an empty ear bud package.
Investigators say once the loss prevention officer apprehended Keene, he admitted to stealing around $300 in merchandise, including the watch (worth $7.99), a pair of New Balance shoes, a pair of Koss ear buds (which were recovered), a watchband, a pack of pens, a DVD; a Blue Ray disc, a pair of headphones, and a few binders. Keene's confession and the surveillance video were turned over to police.
Keene was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail and charged with larceny, a third degree felony. He has since been released.
