Elizabeth Escalona - Charged With Glueing Toddler's Hands To Wall Before Beating Her Unconscious - Child Now On Life Support

Dallas, Texas (The Weekly Vice) - Elizabeth Escalona, a 22-year-old Texas woman has been jailed after she allegedly glued her toddler daughter's hands to a wall before beating her unconscious. And now the little girl is fighting for her life and on life-support in a Dallas hospital.

According to police, Escalona became enraged with her 2-year-old daughter over a potty training issue.

Escalona allegedly retaliated by dragging the child by her feet, placing glue on the child's hands and sticking them to a wall. Escalona then allegedly kicked the toddler in the stomach before beating her with a belt, a shoe and a jug of milk.

Escalona then called her own mother, sobbing, after the child became unresponsive. When family members arrived at the home, the child was still unconscious.

Authorities say the little girl's hands were found bleeding with parts of her skin torn off. The girl also suffered internal injuries, broken bones and head injuries. She was rushed to a local hospital where she is now on life-support and listed in critical condition.

Escalona was booked into jail on charges of causing injury to a child. Her bail has been set at $500,000.

The girl and her three siblings have been placed into protective custody.
