Tyler, Texas (The Weekly Vice) - Corey Webb, a 17-year-old Texas teenager on trial for shooting a police officer decided to plead guilty to the charge after a judge scolded him for urinating in a trash can in open court.
According to prosecutors, Webb is facing an aggravated assault charge after he pulled a gun from his backpack and shot an officer at the Smith Juvenile Detention Center during an attempted escape.
During his trial, Webb tried to fire his attorney, telling the judge "I don't think he's going to defend me to the best of his ability.
When the judge informed Webb that he would then be representing himself, Webb decided to keep his attorney.
When the court adjourned for lunch and people began to exit the courtroom, Webb walked over to a trash can and urinated into it.
"I don't know how you were raised, but peeing in a trash can in a state district courtroom is inappropriate behaviour," stated judge Kerry Russell. "This is the second conversation we have had. There won't be a third."
When the trial resumed, Webb decided to plead guilty to the charge. He is scheduled to be sentenced next week.
