Sonia Hermosillo Didn't Want An Imperfect Baby - Throws Handicapped Child Off Fourth Story Parking Garage - Baby Survives Fall!

Orange, CA. (The Weekly Vice) - Sonia Hermosillo, a 31-year-old California woman was jailed Monday after she allegedly thew her baby from the fourth floor of a hospital parking garage.

According Orange County authorities, Sonia Hermosillo was depressed after delivering a baby son who was diagnosed with plagiocephaly (also known as flat-head syndrome) and congenital muscular torticolis (a twisting of the neck to one side).

"She didn't look at our son as normal," said Hermasollo's husband, Noe Medina. "She didn't accept him. She didn't accept that he was like this."

Hermosillo put an end to that whole worry she threw the seven-month-old child from the fourth-floor of a parking garage at Children's Hospital in Orange County. Witnesses reported seeing a baby falling through at around 6 p.m. that evening.

A surveillance camera captured Hermosillo's Chevy Blazer leaving the parking structure with an empty child seat a short time after the baby was seen falling.

The child, who fell four floors to concrete walkway below, was found alive and rushed to University of California Irvine Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

Hermosillo, who is a mother to three children, was described by police as "calm, stoic, having no emotion" when her vehicle was pulled over by officers Monday night.

She has booked into jail on a charge of attempted murder. She is also being held without bail on an immigration hold. Her arraignment hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday.
