Math Teacher Has Classroom Meltdown, Jumps To His Death While Horrified Students Watch

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (The Weekly Vice) - Rudolf Alexandrov, a 71-year-old college professor shocked students and faculty members Wednesday when he jumped 20 to 30 feet to his death as his students and wife watched.

According to the Philadelphia Police, Alexandrov was teaching a math class at Chestnut Hill College when he suddenly became upset and walked out of the classroom. He then climbed over a ledge railing, and jumped head-first to his death.

Investigators say several witnesses watched Alexandrov commit suicide, including his wife, 56-year-old Olga Alexandrov, who was also a professor at the school. Detectives stated that Alexandrov had a history of depression and suicidal thoughts.

Officers were called to his home last week after he was reported missing. He was found wandering the neighborhood a short time later.

Classes were cancelled at Chestnut Hill College for the remainder of the day and counselors were provided students and faculty.
