Alberta, Minn. (The Weekly Vice) - Minnesota brothers Jason Cobb, 17, and Andrew Cobb, 18, were jailed after they allegedly confessed to murdering their mother "because she wanted to play Yahtzee and they didn't."

According to police, the teens confessed to killing their mother, Tamara Mason, on Christmas day after her remains were found buried in the family's back yard last week.

Jason Cobb was charged with her murder, while Andrew Cobb was charged with being an accessory to murder after the fact.

The teens' older brother, Dylan Clemens, was jailed on other charges after he admitted to watching Jacob choke his mother to death and being present while they deliberated as to how they would dispose of the body.

"They were upset with mom because she wanted to play Yahtzee and they didn't," said Stevens County Sheriff, Randy Willis.

Investigators say Jason Cobb placed a plastic bag over his mother's head before strangling her to death with a belt. Because the ground was frozen at the time, the two brothers placed their deceased mother in a trash can and stored it in a utility shed until the ground thawed enough to dig.

Although Mason had been reported missing on December 27, her body remained in the trash can for nearly four months before her body was finally buried around Easter.

Investigators had no leads in the case until Clemens, the oldest brother, asked a friend for advice on how to dispose of a human body.

Although Jacob was charged in juvenile court for his mother's murder, police believe he will likely be tried as an adult.
