Connersville, Indiana (The Weekly Vice) - Willard Yoder, a 21-year-old Amish man was jailed after he allegedly made plans to have sex with a 12-year-old girl, then arrived for his "date" in a horse and buggy.
According to Connersville Police, Yoder began a relationship with a 12-year-old girl after sending a random text message that was received by her cell phone.
When the girl replied, Yoder began sending hundreds of text messages - many of which were sexually explicit. Yoder also allegedly sent nude photographs of himself to the 12-year-old girl's phone.
When the girl's parents learned of the messages, they took control of their daughter's cell phone and continued talking to Yoder, pretending to be the girl. After about 600 text messages had been sent, the parents turned the phone over to police.
Detectives, posing as the girl, arranged a Wednesday night date with Yoder at a local restaurant. Yoder promptly arrived for his date in a carriage type buggy that was drawn by one horse.
When confronted by police, Yoder admitted to sending the text messages and stated that he arrived to have sex with a girl who he thought was 13.
Yoder was booked into jail and charged with four felony counts for allegedly soliciting sex from the minor. He was released after posting $20,000 bond.
