The Only Thing Harder Than Hector Campos' Head Is The Brick Wall He Punched While Attempting To Escape Prison

Osceola County, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Hector Luis Campos, a 22-year-old Poinciana man faces additional charges after he allegedly attempted to escape from prison by repeatedly punching a brick wall.

According to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office, corrections officer's were alerted when they began hearing a strange banging noise coming from the cell block Campos was lodged in.

Officers checked the cells and found nothing suspicious at first, however, after reviewing security camera footage, an officer noticed that a bed sheet was blocking the camera's view into part of Campo's cell.

Upon further inspection of the cell, officers found broken mortar near the door frame, and traces of paint and mortar in the toilet. Officers concluded that Campos had been punching the wall in an attempt to escape. Campos' fist appeared swollen and he complained that it was sore.

Campos was originally jailed on a burglary charge. He now faces additional charges of attempted escape and criminal mischief. When told what his charges were, he asked "How you gonna charge me with escape?"
