Man Urinating From Road Falls 30 Feet Into Embankment - Rescue Crews Summoned

Skyway, Washington (The Weekly Vice) - Fire and rescue crews were summoned in Skyway after a man fell down a 30-foot embankment after attempting to urinate on the side of the road.

According to Renton Fire and Rescue officials, an unidentified man called 911 for help using his cell phone after he fell over the roadside guardrail and then plunged 30 feet into an embankment covered with foliage.

Rescue crews searched for the man for 45 minutes before finally locating him. A Renton Fire Department truck was used to pull the man up from the embankment and back onto the road.

Investigators say the man was urinating on the side of the road when he was startled by a passing vehicle and fell over the guardrail. He was taken to Valley Regional Medical Center and treated for minor injuries. Detectives do not believe he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident.

Although Seattle Municipal Code states it's unlawful for a person to intentionally urinate or defecate in a public place other than a restroom, the incident happened in unincorporated King County, so no charges will be filed against him
