India Couch Jail Booking Tampa, FL (The Weekly Vice) - India Couch, a 22-year-old Florida woman was jailed Sunday after she allegedly beat her 1-year-old daughter for eating some of her marijuana.
According to Tampa Police, Couch's 1-year-old daughter was unsupervised when she found a bag of marijuana in Couch's purse and began eating it.
When Couch discovered that the child had ingested the substance, she began striking the child with a sandal. The baby suffered three welts on her arm as a result of the beating.
When another adult attempted to intervene, Couch allegedly grabbed a dumbbell and struck him in the back and chest with it.
Couch was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on charges of child abuse, child neglect and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Bail has been set at $6,500.
