Colonie, New York (The Weekly Vice) - Philemon Ofosu. 23-year-old Watervliet man was jailed last Tuesday after he allegedly walked into Wal-Mart, stole a television from the shelf and then attempted to return it for a refund.
According to Colonie police, Ofosu entered the Latham Farms Wal-Mart, selected a $2,000 flat screen television and then headed straight for the store's return counter.
Investigators say the clerk honored the return, handing Ofosu $1,995.84 for the television. Upon receipt of the cash, store security employees pounced, detaining Ofosu until police arrived.
Ofosu was booked into the Albany County Jail on charges of grand larceny.
