Michael Trias MySpace Profile

Mesa, Arizona (The Weekly Vice) - Michael Trias, a 20-year-old Arizona man was jailed Thursday after he allegedly burglarized a home, and then got stuck in a clothes hamper when he tried to flee the scene.

According to Mesa police, Trias was burglarizing a man's townhouse when he realized the owner was coming and jumped through a bedroom window as a means of escape. Instead, Trias found himself entangled in a clothes hamper made from pvc tubing and a netted basket.

Investigators say the homeowner was in the bathroom when he heard a noise coming from his bedroom.

He grabbed a broom as his only protection, but soon realized he wouldn't need it.

The 45-year-old homeowner freed the would-be burglar from the clothes hamper and then frog marched him to the front of the house where police arrived a short time later.

Trias did not get the chance to burglarize the home, but there was some damage to the window he broke into.

He was booked into jail on charges of burglary and criminal damage.
