Update:

Greenville, Mississippi (The Weekly Vice) - Last week we reported on the case of Terrie A. Robinson, the 24-year-old mother who was charged with murder after police found her toddler son's charred remains inside an electric oven.

The victim, 3-year-old Tristan Robinson, was found still-warm inside his mother's oven on Wednesday. Investigators found an injury to the child's head, which led them to wonder if the child was still alive when his mother placed him in the oven and turned on the heat.

That question has now been answered.

Preliminary autopsy results released on Friday showed that the child died from thermal injuries caused by intense heat.

Although the Washington County Coroner's office did conclude that the child was still alive when his mother placed him in the oven, it is still unknown if the child was awake and alert when he was placed there.
