Provo, Utah (The Weekly Vice) - Yogi Bear, a "60-year-old 490 pound" animated bear was booked into jail Tuesday on numerous charges, proving that not even cartoon characters are exempt from the law.

According to the Utah County Sheriff's Office, the pesky bear was booked into jail and charged with "rooting for the U", fishing without a license, and wrongful appropriation (stealing picnic baskets).

Yogi booked out of jail after paying a hefty $137,975 total bail ($100,000 for the rooting charge, $12,345 for fishing without a license, and $25,630 for wrongful appropriation.)

Investigators stated that Yogi was not actually arrested, and that his mug shot was on the department's website as part of a test.
