Stephanie Mattinas Turned Her Sister’s Face Into A Peg Board - Jailed After Stabbing Sister Repeatedly After Discovering Alleged Affair

Deluth, Minnisota (The Weekly Vice) - Stephanie Lynn Mattinas, a 26-year-old Minnesota woman was jailed Tuesday on charges of repeatedly stabbing her sister in the face with a a wood shank after catching her having an affair with her boyfriend.

According to police, Mattinas flew into a fiery rage after she discovered her sister having an affair with her boyfriend.

Officers arrived at a Deluth residence to find broken glass all over the living room floor and a bedroom door that had been broken off it's hinges.

Officers then found Mattina's 24-year-old sister laying on the floor with her face covered in blood. Upon closer look, investigators found an 8" wood trim piece protruding from her face.

Investigators say Mattinas blew a serious fuse when she discovered her sister and boyfriend having an affair. In retaliation, she reportedly broke down the bedroom door before turning her rage on the consummating couple inside the room.

Mattinas reportedly punched her sister in the face about 15 times before repeatedly stabbing her in the face with an 8-inch piece of wood molding.

Mattinas then allegedly grabbed a baseball bat and began pummeling her boyfriend with it.

Mattinas' sister was rushed to St. Mary's Medical Center where the wood trim piece was extracted. Mattinas was later tested and found to be intoxicated at three times the legal limit for operating a motor vehicle.

She was booked into jail on charges of first and second degree assault.
