Owensboro, Kentucky (The Weekly Vice) - Kentucky fried twins Allyson and Ashley Ziehr were jailed after deputies found their six children living in a mobile home that was riddled with human, dog and bird feces.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called out to the 22-year-old twins' motor home after the women had barred social service workers from entering the home to perform a welfare check on the kids.
When deputies entered the residence, they found the floor covered with dog and human feces. Trash was strewn throughout the residence, dirty dishes were piled on the sink and counters and an oven was used as a heater.
Neighbors of the twins were outspoken about the living conditions they saw from the outside of the residence, and couldn't imagine the hell that existed inside.
"What I see on the grounds out here, this place ought to be condemned period," said neighbor Ralph Brearley. "If you look at all the rotten wood on the roof all around the edges - all them birds living in there, they carry disease and those children are gonna be exposed to it."
"They kept yelling at the kids 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I mean constantly," said another neighbor, Pamela Ramburger. "They didn't have no clothes on, maybe (underwear) and stuff... (the kids) just looked kinda rough."
Allyson and Ashley Ziehr were booked into the Davies County Detention Center on six counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
This isn't the first time the two women had a go-around with police on the issue. The twins reportedly served time in 2008 for child endangerment charges.
