
Corbin, Kentucky (The Weekly Vice) - Two Corbin residents, Terry A. Cornett, 42, and Aundrea M. Lay, 34, were jailed Thursday after police discovered a methamphetamine lab in the presence of a child.
According to the Laurel County Sheriff's Department, Officers were sent to a home on Edgewater Road to check on the welfare of a 2-year-old child living in the residence.
Investigators say when officers arrived on the scene, they discovered an active Meth lab. The suspects were apprehended and the child was placed under protective custody with the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children.
Cornett and Lay were booked into jail. Cornett was charged with first-degree making meth, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possessing marijuana, possessing drug paraphernalia, fourth-degree controlled substance endangerment of a child and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Lay was charged with first-degree making meth, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possessing marijuana and endangering the welfare of a minor.
And while operating a meth lab isn't strange in and of itself.... You don't usually find the parent of the endangered toddler wearing a "Worlds Greatest Dad" t-shirt during the arrest.
