Evansville, Indiana (The Weekly Vice) - Ricky Lee Kalichun, a 45-year-old Indiana man was jailed Wednesday after he allegedly scribbled a sharpie marker mask on his face before attacking another man with a sword.
According to Evansville police, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex just after midnight when a sword wielding man attacked.
Investigators say officers arrived to find Kalichun on the 4th floor of the complex wearing a camouflage jacket and sharpie marker scribbled on his face. He also smelled strongly of alcohol.
The alleged victim told police he was staying with someone who occupied an apartment at the complex when he got word that an intoxicated man down in the lobby needed his assistance.
After the victim and Kalichun returned to the apartment, an argument developed over a video game console and games that Kalichun insisted were his. The argument continued out into the hallway where Kalichun pulled out a sword and began swinging it at the victim.
The victim's wife reportedly grabbed Kalichun's arm while the victim punch Kalichun in the mouth several times. He then returned to the apartment again and called police.
Kalichun was booked into the Vanderburgh County jail on charges of intimidation with a weapon and public intoxication. His bail has been set at $50,000.
