Jody Bennette - Jailed After Attempting To Steal Game Boy And Game Cartridges Out Of Dead Teen’s Casket

Mentcle, Pennsylvania (The Weekly Vice) - Jody Lynn Bennett, a 37-year-old Mentcle man was jailed after he allegedly stole Game Boy consoles and several accessories out of a deceased teen's casket during his wake.

According to police, 17-year-old
Bradley "Boog" David-McCombs Jr. died on Christmas day after he reportedly crashed his SUV on snow-covered roads on his way to pick up a relative. His family held a wake for him December 28th in Montgomery Township.

Investigators say during the wake, Bennett, whose
family is close friends with the McCombs family, stole a Game Boy, a Game Boy Light, and several game cartridges from McCombs's casket. The items were intended to be buried with the teen.

A relative of Bennett stated that he was into drugs and alcohol.

Bennett was booked into the
Indiana County jail and charged with theft, abuse of a corpse, and disorderly conduct. He is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.
