Edwardsville, Illinois (The Weekly Vice) - Michael Bass, the 24-year-old Brighton man photographed in the groovy Elmo t-shirt above, was jailed after he and two Alton men, Dray Perkinson, 23, and Paul A. Lott, 22, were suspected of burglarizing several residences in the area.

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, Perkinson and Lott were charged with residential burglary after entering a home in Bethalto with the intent to commit a theft. Their arrests led to the arrest of Bass, also accused of committing several home burglaries in the area.

Investigators say detectives recovered approximately $100,000 in stolen property from the men, including jewelry, power tools, firearms, musical instruments and a flat-screen television. The items were likely stolen from northwestern Madison County and southern Jersey County during November and December 2010. Authorities are still attempting to identify the owners of some of the stolen property.

Bass and Lott were booked into the Madison County Jail and charged with theft. Bail for Lott was set at $15,000. Bass's bail was set at $25,000. Luckily for Bass, he had to change out of the shirt before entering the jail's general population.

Perkinson was also charged with theft, but has not been apprehended and is wanted by police. His bail was set at $150,000.

Anyone with information on Perkinson's whereabouts, or who the owners of the stolen items are, to call the Madison County Sheriff's Department at (618) 692-4433 or the Investigative Division at (618) 693-0871.
