Demetrius Lawson Jail Booking Report
Manatee County, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Demetrius Lawson, a 34-year-old Florida man was jailed Sunday after admitting to deputies that he had "some green in his nuts."
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, a deputy had pulled Lawson over for failing to wear a seat, when Lawson stated "Man, I'm going to jail."
Investigators say a check of Lawson's record indicated that his license had been suspended and that he had been declared a "Habitual Violator" under Florida law.
When the deputy asked if Lawson had anything illegal on him, Lawson reportedly stated that he did not. When the deputy reminded him that he would be searched at the jail and could face a charge of introducing contraband into a correction facility, Lawson changed his story.
Lawson reportedly told the deputy "I have some green in my nuts."
Lawson was booked into the Manatee County Jail on charges of possessing cannabis, driving while suspended, tampering with evidence and violating probation - stemming from a cocaine possession charge. Bail was set at $3,120.
