Robert Rupp - Jailed On Burglary Charges After Forgetting To Log Off MySpace Page During Home Invasion

Florida Keys, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Robert Rupp, an 18-year-old Florida teen was jailed Sunday after he was allegedly nabbed on burglary charges after he forget to log off his MySpace page before leaving the home he had invaded.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, a caretaker for the home had arrived to remove hurricane shutters when he discovered someone inside the residence sitting on the couch.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they found no one inside. They did, however, find an open back window, empty food and soft drink containers and a small amount of marijuana on the coffee table.

One more useful clue helped investigators figure out who the burglar was. Investigators found a computer in a back bedroom that Rupp allegedly used to log onto his own MySpace account. The account was still logged on, giving deputies their prime suspect.

Rupp was found a short time later walking around the neighborhood with two screwdrivers in his pocket. He explained to deputies that he only broke into the house because "it was cold outside." Keep in mind this is Florida and he's wearing a tank top in the mug shot.

Rupp was booked into jail on charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools and theft.
