Aiken, South Carolina (The Weekly Vice) - Ricky New, a 45-year-old South Carolina man was jailed Thursday after he allegedly robbed a convenience store and then attempted to flee the scene on a riding lawn mower.
According to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, New entered the Kent's Corner convenience store armed with a stick and demanded cash.
After assaulting the female clerk, he reportedly left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, hopped on a Craftsman riding lawn mower and fled the scene.
Deputies caught up with him a short distance away and took him into custody.
New was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center on charges of assault and battery and armed robbery.
