Kristopher White Made A Narrow Minded Jail Break, Literally

Haywood County, Tennessee (The Weekly Vice) - Kristopher Allen White, a 23-year-old inmate at the Haywood County Jail is back in custody after he managed to escape by squeezing through his jail cell bars.

According to the Haywood County Sheriff's Office, White escaped from jail around 4 a.m. Monday morning.

Investigators say White squeezed through bars set at just 4 1/2 inches apart. He then used blankets to climb over a barbed wire fence surrounding the jail before fleeing into the night.

"I still can't picture that," said Sheriff Melvin Bond. "It's beyond my imagination to know how he succeeded at that."

After White's escape, deputies found his clothing and a blanket about a mile and a half away. Several of White's associates told the Sheriff's Office they had given him a ride believing he had been released from jail.

White, who was jailed after he allegedly burglarized several churches, was captured around 6 p.m. the same day.

To give you some perspective as to what 4 1/2 inches looks like, the diagram below measures pretty close.
