Kathy Buttram Chambers Is Not A Morning Person - Jailed After Threatening To “Blow People Up” Over Severe Weather Sirens

Albertville, Minnesota (The Weekly Vice) - Kathy Buttram Chambers, a 56-year-old Albertville woman was jailed Monday after she allegedly threatened to "blow everyone up" because she was awakened by severe weather sirens that warned of an impending severe weather advisory.

According to Albertville police, Chambers contacted the police department Monday morning, complaining that the severe weather sirens near her home were too loud and woke her up.

She then threatened officers, stating that she would use a double barrel shotgun to "blow everyone up." Officers went to her home because of her continuous threats and inappropriate rants to the dispatchers at the police station.

Investigators say Chambers continued her belligerence after officers and medics arrived on the scene. She then allegedly removed a partially smoked marijuana cigarette from her purse, lit it, and smoked it, asking officers if they wanted a hit. Officers refused her request and took her into custody.

Chambers was booked into the Albertville City Jail and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.
