Chicago, Illinois (The Weekly Vice) - Tierra Aldridge, a 24-year-old Chicago woman, was arrested Sunday morning after she allegedly tried to leave her 3-year-old son at a police station, claiming she didn't want him any more.
According to Chicago Police, Aldridge walked into the Harrison District police station with her 3-year-old son and asked, "Can I leave my son here, because I don’t want him anymore.’’
Officers informed Aldridge that she would need to contact Department of Children and Family Services for assistance with something like that and even offered to contact them for her.
Investigators say Aldridge refused their assistance, threatening to leave the child outside on the sidewalk if they didn't agree to take the child.
She was arrested after setting the boy down and attempting to leave the station.
During her arrest, officers allegedly found a white rock-like substance which they believed to be crack cocaine and Aldridge admitted to selling drugs, police say.
Aldridge was booked and charged with possession of a controlled substance and endangering the life and health of a child. She was ordered held on a $75,000 bond.
