James Buccigrossi Wasn’t About To Let Any Crazy Flight Attendent Outdo Him - Jailed After Having An Airport Melt Down

Albany, New York (The Weekly Vice) - James Buccigrossi, a 49-year-old Clifton Park man, was arrested Friday the 13th after he allegedly hopped in a fire truck, stripped naked, and claimed he had a bomb in his car.

According to Albany County deputies, officers were called to the airport because of a man making threats of a bomb in his vehicle and acting irate.

Investigators say Buccigrossi was attempting to leave the airport's economy parking lot when he didn't have enough money to pay for his ticket to leave.

That's when Buccigrossi allegedly hopped in a nearby firetruck and told the driver he was an Air Marshall and to "get going," deputies say.

Buccigrossi then allegedly began to strip naked and started shouting that there was a bomb in his vehicle, police say.

Authorities say that a thorough search of the man's vehicle wielded no bombs or devices and Buccigrossi got a ride out of the airport parking lot in a police car.

"The story has a little bit of twist to it. But every bomb threat that comes in you have to take serious until you can deem it otherwise," said the Albany County Undersheriff, Craig Apple.

Albany County authorities say Buccigrossi has a history of mental illness and may not face charges. If competent, Buccigrossi could face local, criminal, and federal charges.

Buccigrossi was taken for a mental health evaluation. As of today, he has not been booked into the Albany County Jail and may not face any charges pending the outcome of his evaluation.
