Robert Stone’s Life Now Has A Street Value Of One Cigarette

Hollywood, Florida (The Weekly Vice) - Robert Stone, a 37-year-old Broward County homeless man, was arrested Saturday after he admitted to beating a man to death with a metal pipe over a cigarette.

According to authorities, Stone and the victim, 55-year-old Joseph Charlton, got into an argument over a cigarette.

That's when investigators say Stone grabbed a metal pipe and started hitting Charlton on the face, head, and body until he was bloodied and unconscious.

Police found Charlton's beaten near an abandoned bowling alley. Detectives received their first clue as to the assailant's identify when a witness told them Stone had bragged about giving the victim a "helluva whoopin" the night before.

Officers say Stone admitted to beating the victim over a cigarette.

He was booked into the Broward County Jail on a charge of murder. He remains incarcerated without bail.
